“Trout lake place”

Population: 104

Located on the sandy shores of its namesake lake, this placid, traditional Dene settlement is famous for its fishing. Townsfolk run the nearby Saamba K'e Fishing Lodge, featuring log cabins and excellent angling for Trout, Pickerel and Pike. The community is accessible by aircraft in summer or by a 126-kilometre ice-road off Hwy 1 in winter.
