Offer Date:
1 July - 30 August

Explore, experience and enjoy Aboriginal culture and the scenic East Arm of the Great Slave Lake, one of the largest lakes in the world! This tour offers you a truly genuine Aboriginal culture experience while enjoying the wonderful, breathtaking landscape of northern Canada!

Your Aboriginal guides were raised on the lake, they know the Big Lake. They will prepare delicious local foods and teach you traditional fishing techniques like settting and checking fishnets. All along the tour they will tell you stories about the local culture and the challenges we face as we try to keep our way of life in this modern world. You will spend 2 evenings in the small, isolated Aboriginal community of Lutsel K’e and live and experience genuine Aboriginal life.

After spending 3 amazing days on the Big Lake and in the Aboriginal community you will fly or boat back to Yellowknife depending on which tour date you choose. You can fly into the Aboriginal community then boat back or you can boat to the community and fly back. Keep in mind Mother Nature is boss, good weather is needed for the tour to go ahead, check weather forecasts before booking or ask our staff. ONLY 6 SEATS PER BOOKING, so book early.
