When you are eating out, try a northern specialty. Fresh whitefish, arctic char, lake trout, pike and pickerel are often on the menu. Muskox, bison and caribou are also northern delicacies.
Our local airlines and charter services can be hired for an hour or a half day or more for flightseeing. You pay by the hour and the size of the aircraft. Two or three people can split the cost for a very economical scenic tour.
Motels
Motels usually have a series of rooms with bath located side by side, each with a separate entrance. In communities with road access, the rooms often include a small kitchen with a microwave and coffee maker. Some motels located in off-road communities may be more like a small hotel featuring separate rooms, with some shared services.
