Deh Cho Travel Connection

Deh Cho Travel Connection

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES • BRITISH COLUMBIA • ALBERTA

Welcome to the Deh Cho Travel Connection. This is the roadtrip less travelled – a great, sweeping tour of Canada’s far frontier, linking the grand landmarks, wild parks and bewitching towns of the North.

Your circular journey will take you through a driveable wilderness, traversing Northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Northeastern British Columbia.

You’ll follow the path of goldseekers, trappers and explorers, seeing a world barely changed since centuries past.

Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites are here: Nahanni National Park Reserve and Wood Buffalo National Park. So too are five great natural regions of Canada – the Peace River valley, the Canadian Rockies, the foothills of the Mackenzie Range, the boreal forest and the Canadian Shield.

You’ll cross three of the world’s foremost river systems, the Peace, Liard and Mackenzie, and visit thundering waterfalls, like Virginia, Alexandra and Sambaa Deh.

You’ll discover locals with a foot in both the modern and the ancient world. You’ll see roadsides roaming with wild bison, experience skies coursing with raptors, and wet your line in waters thrashing with fish.

And once you’ve completed the circuit, you’ll be back where you started from – yet somehow, you'll be forever changed.
