For over 45 years, Black Feather has had the opportunity to operate canoe, hiking and sea kayaking expeditions throughout the Northwest Territories and beyond. Our dedicated and qualified team of guides and staff work together with local NWT community members to offer unforgettable northern experiences. We are proud to offer a wide range of self-supported expeditions - whether it is your first time or your fiftieth time visiting the North, whether you are a beginner or a more experienced adventurer, we will have a trip for you!

  • Multi-day, self-supported canoe trips ranging from 10-28 days
  • On our guided trips, you will be joined by professional and personable guides who provide their knowledge of local history and culture as well as attention to detail, safety, and your enjoyment!
  • Small group experiences - our guided trips take a maximum of 12 participants, and each group has at least two qualified guides to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment
  • Logistical support and coordination for self-guided expeditions including van shuttles, float plane charters, re-supplies, equipment rental, etc
