Yellowknife Outdoor Adventures provides guided day trips of 4-6 or 8 hours on Great Slave Lake.
We offer a 3-day trophy Pike fishing package that includes, 3-nights hotel accommodation, 3-days guided trophy Pike fishing and a daily shore lunch.
We practice a strict catch and release and fish with single hooks only. No Trebles please. We provide rain gear, warm jackets, fishing gear and tackle. Just have to bring yourself. $1550.00 +gst per guest

Yellowknife Outdoor Adventures offers a variety of day trips ranging from 2 to 10 hours in all seasons and for all ages. We can tailor outdoor day programs or packages to suit your needs. We also arrange hotel accommodations in Yellowknife. As well we provide summer and winter adventure packages. We also offer adventures further up north through our in-bound tours. Join us for a great northern experience!
We deliver fall Aurora experiences from August 15 to September 30 and winter Auroras Adventures from December 18 to April 5. We offer a variety of day and evening guided trips: snowmobile excursions, Aurora viewing by snowmobile, dogsled rides, ice road tours, interpretive art tours, guided interpretive snowshoeing excursions and snowmobile rentals.
We can accommodate up to 30 guests to travel on Great Slave Lake for fish frys, sightseeing, birding, photography and fishing.
We offer a variety of rentals including boats, snowmobiles and cabins on the shores of Great Slave Lake. Please call us for pricing and availability.
A must-do experience! Enjoy a dogsled ride or mush your own team. We can also arrange for your own group race.
Join us on a 2-hour or 3-hour ice road tour, Old Town tour or a local art gallery tour.
We offer our Outdoor Adventures day meeting facility on Great Slave Lake. We can accommodate 24 guests comfortably. The facility is a 20 minute boat ride from Yellowknife’s Old Town. In the winter you can drive our snowmobiles to our facility.
We provide northern gourmet shore lunches and BBQ dinners. Great for meetings, receptions, birthdays, weddings, boat tours and dinner parties.
We offer a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities. Some can be enjoyed in a day trip while others require 3 days.
Bird Watching: Guided bird watching tours on Great Slave Lake, one of the largest lakes in the world. You will have an opportunity to see bald eagles, Caspian and Arctic terns, gulls, waterfowl, “peeps” and more, nesting on the many islands dotting the watery entrance to Yellowknife. Your tour is topped off with a northern gourmet shore lunch prepared for you by your guide. In the springtime, join us for waterfowl migration and tundra swan observation.
Bald Eagle: Visit various nesting sites and observe the eagles in their hunting/fishing grounds on Great Slave Lake. A northern gourmet shore lunch is provided on your adventure.
Wood Bison Tours: Great guided tour to the Mackenzie sanctuary to visit with one of the North’s largest residents, the wood bison. This excursion takes you into the heart of the boreal forest along the shore of Great Slave Lake’s North Arm to witness these magnificent animals. A northern gourmet outdoor lunch is provided as part of this trip.
We offer 1, 2 and 4-hour guided snowmobile daytime tours as well as Aurora viewing by snowmobile. Stop and warm up in our cozy lake cabin. All snowmobile clothing, boots and helmet included. Join us for a great outdoor experience!
Hear stories of survival and adaptation in the winter-scape of the boreal forest. Join your guide, "winter's narrator," for an interpretive snowshoe hike.
