Private Dining & Aurora Viewing

Join us at Aurora Village for a Canadian Signature Experience with our ‘ViTeepee’ treatment. Enjoy with a three-course meal in a private teepee and watch in comfort as the brilliantly beautiful Aurora dances across the northern sky.

Enjoy the traditional look of the teepee under the dancing Aurora in a more personal, private setting! All tours are a smaller group size with limited seating each night, so book early! Enjoy the warm crackling fire while sitting comfortably inside our teepees and listening to stories about our Ancestors by our Indigenous guides.

In the comfort of a heated 15 passenger bus drive over the winter roads in luxury to view the northern lights. Your 4 hour tour includes multiple stops for aurora viewing and ends at North of 60 Aurora Adventures secluded camp for tea and bannock in a trapper's tent and tee-pee with time for photographing the northern lights. Tour requires minimum 4 people. Sundog Adventures is offering aurora photography workshops every Tuesday and Friday evening, led by Yellowknife photographers, Bill Braden, Martin Male and Lenora Barrett.

You will learn:

  • The legends and science of the aurora,
  • Essential camera settings,
  • Composing and light painting,
  • Overviews of time lapse and processing images.

The workshop costs $75 per person and includes:

Escape to Yellowknife for 3 days of aurora adventure, chasing the Northern Lights through the vast Canadian wilderness. Enjoy free time on your own to explore the area during the day, rest up in a convenient and comfortable local hotel (which is included), and set out at night with a guide to track down the Aurora Borealis.
