Aylmer Lake Lodge explodes with bird life. Arctic Peregrines, Sandpipers, Red Throated Loons, Parasitic Jaegers, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Geese, Ducks, Yellow Billed Loons, and the list goes on the birds seem to be everywhere. Watch Loons running across the water. See the adult birds pushing their young out of the nest and chasing them back up to the nest to strengthen them for long journeys.

During this guided self‐drive trip, you will drive the famous Dempster Highway all the way to the Arctic, and you'll drive up to the Arctic Ocean to Tuktoyaktuk on the northernmost road in Canada. On your way north, as you cross the Arctic Circle, you will witness the pristine mountain ranges and vast arctic tundra and enjoy sitting in the sunshine at midnight.

This is the ultimate Arctic experience! During this guided self‐drive trip, you will drive the famous Dempster Highway all the way to the Arctic, plus you'll drive up to the Arctic Ocean to Tuktoyaktuk on the northernmost road in Canada. On your way north, as you cross the Arctic Circle, you will see pristine snow covered mountain ranges and Northern Lights dancing over the vast arctic tundra. Discover how it feels to drive your own 4x4 SUV on the only road in Canada that crosses the Arctic Circle. Joining this road trip during the Arctic winter is an once‐in‐a‐lifetime experience.

When you arrive on Friday in Lutsel K'e, you will be transferred by boat to a traditional camp to spend the weekend in complete serenity. A fresh fish dinner will be prepared, followed by an evening of sightseeing on the lake under the midnight sun. 

On Saturday, after a delicious breakfast, guests can chose their preferred activities for the day.
