Escape the city and view the incredible fall Northern Lights on our remote island. We are a fly-in lodge located a 50 minute float plane flight from Yellowknife on beautiful 1000 sq. mile Lac La Martre. We are the ONLY lodge located on the lake! Enjoy the seclusion of our lodge with opportunities to watch the sunrise and sunset, explore our beautiful nature trails with bright Fall colors, search for local wildlife such as bear and moose, bird watching, water activities including fishing and then take in the magic of the dancing lights from just outside your cabin door!

When you arrive on Friday in Lutsel K'e, you will be transferred by boat to a traditional camp to spend the weekend in complete serenity. A fresh fish dinner will be prepared, followed by an evening of sightseeing on the lake under the midnight sun. 

On Saturday, after a delicious breakfast, guests can chose their preferred activities for the day.

Your stay will be at our cultural camp where you can enjoy an evening of traditional lifestyle of the Denesoline peoples, excursion on the water to go fishing, sight-seeing and wildlife viewing.

Blachford Lake offers trophy sized Lake Trout and Northern Pike! In recent years the winning entries in our Trophy Release Contest were a 48 lb. Lake Trout, and a 32 lb. Northern Pike. Whitefish can be caught in Blachford Lake, and Walleye (around 4 or 5 lb.) can be caught on two of the adjoining lakes that are just a short walk from Blachford Lake. The ice melts on the lake in early June making it an excellent time for fishing.

The Spectacular Aurora Borealis come to life by mid August and can be seen the way they were meant to be seen without any light saturation from nearby towns or cities. Guests can observe the "Northern Lights" from our over the water viewing deck.

Wildlife abounds at Nonacho Lake and is now home to the majestic Muskox. Birding enthusiasts may find up to fifty species; many are in their northern breeding territory of the ABA area.
