Castaways Cottages & Campground is a 100% locally owned aboriginal business located a comfortable 10 minutes from downtown Hay River, affording great access to modern comforts and with perfect space for a spectacular weekend break or week long getaway.

The campground sits along the pristine shores of The Great Slave Lake (the deepest lake in North America!), with a 15 acres of private beach to enjoy the aurora filled night sky in the fall or winter.

We offer cozy cottages, RV Sites, and comfy rooms for booking.

You can also take part in kick sledding, snow shoeing, and ice fishing. Dog sledding is available upon request.
