This municipal campground is located about four kilometres along the access road to Fort Liard, or roughly 45 minutes from the BC border and only a couple of hours from the Alaska Highway. As such, it’s a pleasant rest-stop for northern road-trippers looking to enjoy the lovely scenery. A walking trail circles the lake and offers ample opportunity for birdwatching. Keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife as well, including beavers and even the occasional bison.
