Sambaa Deh Territorial Park
This popular park and campground are located at the junction of Highway 1 and the Trout River (Sambaa Deh in the Slavey language). The river was a traditional transportation route before and during the fur trade. The falls forced travellers to portage around this dangerous stretch of water. Today, hiking trails take you to views of both Sambaa Deh and Coral Falls, the latter named for the coral fossils washed down the river each year. The campground features 20 wooded, non-powered campsites, plus washrooms and showeres, firewood, water and helpful staff.
