Northwest Territories Parks
To truly experience the Northwest Territories take your camping gear and set out on a northern adventure. NWT highways lead through vast landscapes of forests, mountains, lakes, rivers and waterfalls, with plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and experience the quiet of the North.
NWT Parks operates 20 campgrounds throughout the territory, offering a range of amenities, including spacious and powered campsites, showers, flush toilets, drinking water, RV dump stations, boat launches and picnic areas. All campsites include a firepit.
Operating dates vary by park, generally territorial parks are open from May to September. Check your destination’s operating dates and services before you travel.
Plan Ahead
Campgrounds can fill up during the summer months, so we recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a campsite. Reservations for the upcoming camping season begin in March. Most campsites can be reserved online, while some campgrounds operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserve online (March to September): NWT Parks Reservations

Getting to NWT Parks
NWT Parks are located along the territory’s highway network, near communities and in more remote wilderness areas. Whether you’re stopping for a roadside picnic, hiking a trail, paddling a river or settling in around the campfire, there’s plenty to discover along the way.
