Old Town Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to Old Town Bed & Breakfast – where you can live like the locals do! Old Town B&B is located on Back Bay of Great Slave Lake and the property has beautiful lake views year round. If you want to get the true Northern experience, Old Town Bed & Breakfast is the place for you.

We strive to make our home comfortable and welcoming for people of all cultures and backgrounds. Our home is an LGBTQ2S+ affirming space.

Old Town Bed & Breakfast has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and can accommodate up to 4 guests per party. Guests have their own separate entrance, as well as a private kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom.

Old Town Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place for viewing Aurora Borealis (northern lights). The suite looks out on Back Bay of Great Slave Lake and if the aurora are out, guests in the master bedroom can watch them dance over the bay from their bed! Or cozy up on the couch and watch them from the living room. Walk through the yard to the lake and sit on Adirondack chairs to gaze up at the sky.

Old Town Bed & Breakfast is proud to be a member of the Yellowknife Old Town community. Our space is cozy and comfortable and perfect for viewing the Aurora Borealis. It is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and the perfect home away from home. Sleep in in the comfortable queen size beds after a long night of aurora chasing. Warm up with hot chocolate after snowshoeing on the bay just outside the door. Cook your own delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

We serve Barren Ground Coffee – roasted in the neighbourhood less than a kilometre away, and local delicacies like Northern cranberries are often featured in our continental, self-serve breakfast.

If guests are feeling adventurous they can go cross country skiing on a track set by a neighbour on the lake or walk across Back Bay to visit the Yellowknife Ice Caves. In the summer, rent a canoe and explore the local house boat community, or enjoy a drink on the deck watching the float planes take off.
