Arctic Market
The Arctic Market has been part of Inuvik for over 10 years and is a great place for everyone to come together. For locals and visitors, the market is a fun way to find handmade items, grab a tasty lunch, and connect with the amazing people in our town.
Visitors to the market find many handmade treasures, enjoy local food, and meet the incredible people who make Inuvik so special. We have many regular long-time vendors that have been attending for over 10 years now, including Wilma’s Traditional Parkies and Covers, Mavis Arts & Crafts, Joanne Francis and Alice Kimiksana to name a few.
The Arctic Market is for all things handmade and homemade—goods created by local artists, crafters, and food vendors. You’ll find everything from beaded local crafts, fur slippers, and stained-glass art. Vendors include artists like painters and carvers. Recent vendors have included Mad Hatter’s Munchies, offering freeze-dried candy, and Brendan Callahan, providing knife-sharpening services—just a taste of the unique offerings you can expect!
The Summer Outdoor Arctic Market runs every Saturday at Chief Jim Koe Park from June to mid-August. The Winter Indoor Arctic Market runs on select Saturdays from January to April.
