North Nahanni Naturalist Lodge is a full service lodge located on Cli Lake 72 miles (115 km) west of Fort Simpson in the Nahanni Mountain Range. Fishing, hiking, birding, wildlife viewing, cultural activities, Aurora viewing and conferences. Access by charter float plane or jetboat.
Custom hourly and daily guided river tours by outboard or jet boat in the Dehcho region. From Fort Simpson, travel on the Mackenzie, Liard, North Nahanni, Ram, Root and Willow Rivers. Scenic stops, cultural interpretation, camping, hiking, photography, catch and release fishing. Snacks and lunches provided. June 1 to September 30.
Guests can hike with one of our guides on easy, partially groomed trails leading to vantage points that offer magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Our lodge sauna and hot tub offer welcome relaxation at the end of an active day.
North Nahanni Naturalist Lodge offers guided or unguided catch and release fishing on Cli Lake and guided catch and release fishing on the Mackenzie and North Nahanni Rivers. Cli Lake has an abundant supply of Lake Trout, Pike and Whitefish, all of which display the fine fighting form associated with fish taken from a cold-water habitat. Grayling and Walleye and exotic species like Bull Trout and Dolly Varden can be caught in feeder rivers of the North Nahanni during a jet boat excursion.
