Frontier Lodge has been providing world class trophy fishing vacations on the renowned East Arm of Great Slave Lake for over 65 years.

Our clients come from all over the world to target the trophy Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Arctic Grayling we offer. That’s only part of your trip to Frontier though!

We are also the Gateway to Thaidene Nëné, Canada’s newest National Park Reserve. With unparalleled access to Park, it’s spectacular boreal landscapes, majestic herds of Muskox and the stunning Northern Lights – a trip to Frontier is always an adventure!

All packages and activities are based out of our main lodge, without the need to pay for costly fly outs to access the fishing we offer.

Winter Aurora – 3 Day Trip

Namushka Lodge is your wilderness home away from home.  The main lodge boasts a comfortable seating area with unobstructed views of Harding Lake. Enjoy all the comforts of home with the solitude of being the only person on the lake.

  • All inclusive (breakfast, light lunch, supper and snacks).
  • 1 hour drive from/ to Yellowknife down the scenic Ingraham Trail Including a  30 min Hagglund ride from / to Reid Lake – Namushka Lodge

NWT Residence enjoy a special rate of $500 per night. Ski or snowmobile directly to the lodge at your leisure. Please note that food and travel are not included in the price. During your stay, indulge in our amenities, including the hot tub and sauna. Food and travel expenses are separate from the nightly rate.

Enjoy the Aurora viewing experience with our sauna and cold plunge wellness facility!  Aurora Viewing evening from 9:30pm to 1:30 am. please choose a time slot to start your magical hot & cold therapy experience like no other.

Our Saunas are now heated by the oldest rocks on earth the legendary Acasta Gneiss! This ancient stone infuses our saunas with a unique energy, adding depth to your self-care experience

After your Sauna experience is over and have changed into normal clothes you are welcome to stay in our heated aurora viewing tent facilities for our full nightly experience 🙂

Please be advised that our sauna facilities are designed for dry heat and water exposure experiences and do not include shower amenities. We recommend using shower facilities elsewhere if needed. Our cozy change rooms, equipped with warm towels for drying, will ensure you leave our facility feeling rejuvenated and refreshed after your sauna experience.

For those seeking the ultimate northern lights experience, this session focuses on capturing you under the auroras with dozens of beautiful portraits and timelapse videos, all professionally edited and delivered to you the very next day.

You’re the model, and I’m your personal photographer, capturing you under the breathtaking northern lights. This Private Aurora Photo Session is designed entirely around you, with the goal of creating stunning portraits of you with the auroras dancing above. Unlike most other tours, where quick smartphone photos are often the norm, I am committed to providing a full, personalized photo experience. With 3 to 4 professional cameras, I’ll take dozens of high-quality photos and dynamic timelapse videos, capturing the best angles and moments of the night.

You’ll return home with high-resolution photos—perfect for printing and displaying—and timelapse video to relive the auroras in motion. Your social media will shine, too, as I’ll provide select images and videos optimized for Instagram reels and TikTok, so you can share your unforgettable experience.

This is more than just a tour; it’s an opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime while making a statement on your social media. The rate reflects the exclusivity of this session, along with the time dedicated to carefully editing and assembling your photos and videos.
