Midway Lake Festival

Taking place in in early August, near Fort McPherson, NWT, the Midway Lake Festival marks its 41st anniversary as a cherished celebration of Gwich’in culture, music, and community. This alcohol-free, family-friendly gathering features traditional fiddling, square dancing, jigging contests, canoe races, and nightly jam sessions under the midnight sun.

For four days, the shores of Midway Lake become a vibrant meeting place where culture, music, and northern spirit shine.
