The Keele River, in our opinion, is Canada's best kept "secret". A Canadian Signature Experience, Its turquoise waters flow 320 km through the towering Mackenzie Mountains, offering views of spectacular vistas, superb fly-fishing, hiking opportunities and wildlife viewing. The river is fast a fast but fun ride, with exciting but easy whitewater (class 2) and no portages!
A 12 day journey down the Keele with Canoe North Adventures allows you time to unwind, provides endless thrills all while immersing you in the wilderness surrounding you. It is the perfect starting point if this is your first northern trip, but also offers something for more experienced paddlers as well, with out having to sweat the small stuff. Our five star menu and top quality provided gear make life easy in camp. On the river, our certified guide staff are old pros at instruction and will help you progress your paddling skills all the while keeping a watchful eye that everyone is safe and having fun! Let us show you how comfortable and amazing canoe camping can really be.
Before and after your trip we welcome you to enjoy the comfort of the CNA Lodge and Outfitting Centre in friendly Norman Wells, NWT. Located steps from the floatplane base our timberframe lodge provides full service meals and comfortable beds making it an ideal launching pad for your northern adventures, and a great place to reflect and celebrate with your group once you have returned.
