DAY 1: Setting the Stage For Aurora

Upon arrival at Yellowknife Airport, you’ll be smoothly transferred to your downtown hotel—perfect for exploring on foot, with taxis available. If you have some free time, stroll through charming shops and enjoy international flavors at local restaurants. Your winter gear will be delivered straight to your hotel, ready for the cold!

This evening, gear up for your first Aurora adventure at Aurora Village, where cozy heated teepees and a lively restaurant await. Sit back, relax, and watch the sky dance with the Northern Lights—your Arctic adventure kicks off here!

2-4: Exploring Yellowknife and its Flavors

Enjoy a relaxing day exploring Yellowknife your way! Whether you want to shop, discover more of the city, or just unwind, you’ll have plenty of free time to do what you enjoy. Be sure to sample some of Yellowknife’s tasty local bites—grab a pint at Woodyard Brewhouse, try Arctic char sashimi at a sushi spot, or visit the quirky, lively Bullocks Bistro.

As night falls, head back to Aurora Village with your guide for another magical evening of Northern Lights viewing. They’ve got a 95% chance of catching the aurora over three nights—so the odds are in your favor! While weather and sightings can never be guaranteed, those are impressive odds for a chance to see the sky dance.

DAY 5: Farewell to the Northern Lights

Today, you’ll say goodbye to the North and start your journey home. If your flight allows, you might have some extra time to explore more of Yellowknife before heading to the airport.
