Ever Good Medicine is owned and operated by Carl Jr. Kodakin-Yakeleya, a Shúhtagot’ine man (Mountain People) originally from Délı̨nę and Tulita First Nations in the Sahtú region of NWT. Now based in Yellowknife, he offers a variety of programs and services such as Medicine Walks, Retreats, Apprenticeships and Group Workshops about Traditional Dene Medicines in the NWT that teach the protocols and values to follow when gathering them.

Dancing Skies is a new tour operator in Yellowknife, led by an experienced northern lights chaser and photographer with a passion for contemplation. Specializing in private tours and small groups of up to 5 people, we prioritize silent, serene observation and photography of the aurora, far from the crowds. With expertise in Space Weather data, our tours are flexible and tailored to the weather and geomagnetic conditions each night to maximize the chances of not missing the lights. Every tour is personally guided by the company’s sole guide, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience. Each tour includes professional-quality photographs and, at times, timelapse videos. We welcome special requests, such as marriage proposals, and can customize each program to meet your preferences. Proudly regarded as “the smallest aurora tour company in Yellowknife”, our guide can lead tours in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Sport North Federation

Sport North was incorporated October of 1976 to assist in the promotion and development of Sport in the Northwest Territories.

The Federation came into being for two reasons:

The Government of the Northwest Territories could no longer handle all the services required by organized sport without enlargement of its staff.
The Sport Community in the Northwest Territories was sufficiently organized and experienced to handle its own affairs.

Today Sport North consists of 30 Territorial Sport Organizations and 3 partner organizations (NWT Recreation & Parks Association, Aboriginal Sport Circle of the Northwest Territories and Special Olympics NWT). It has the responsibility for providing programs and services for organized sport in the Territories.

The Federation receives its direction from its members, while the programs and policies are administered by a volunteer Board of Directors.
