Experience the amazing auroras from our Skydome.  The geodome offers the comforts of a hot wood burning stove, couches, lounge chairs and tables for eating fresh bannock and hot beverages, while you take in the dancing auroras from above.  Book your seat or group up to 20 people.

Dogsledding

North of 60 Aurora Adventures

Enjoy an exciting dog-sledding adventure along pristine frozen lakes by secluded and well-maintained dog trails, ending the tour at the heated trapper’s camp with hot beverages and freshly made bannock. Our tours embrace Indigenous culture and traditions, sharing our stories of true northern family heritage.

We offer two adventures
  • Traditional dogsled ride where you are guided by an experienced musher while taking in the amazing views
  • U-Drive dogsled ride where you drive your own dog team with a guide on a snowmobile

Van Tour

Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ (Fort Simpson), “the place where the rivers come together” is a village on the Dehcho Region of Canada’s Northwest Territories. The community is located on an island where the Dehcho (Mackenzie River) and the Nácháh Dehé (Liard River) meet.

Canoe Rental

Price includes 1 Canoe, 2 paddles, 2 life jackets, 1 throw rope, and 1 spray deck.

We make it easy! We will drop off and pick up the canoe for you.

Authentic Winter Arctic Experience. Immerse yourself deep into the Arctic Culture.

Visit us at our authentic Arctic Village, where we live in harmony with nature by combining traditional values and practices with today’s technology. My Backyard Tours - Whati

Whati is situated on the third largest lake, Lac La Martre, in the NWT and the location offers guests a pristine and untouched environment to view the Aurora Borealis, while you can also enjoy an uninterrupted view of the beautiful scenery of the Lac La Martre lake. Guests can sit back and relax in a comfortable vehicle (small group sizes of 2-6 people) while we embark on a picturesque 3-hour (250km) drive from Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories.

We are pleased to offer the following package between April 18th & 22nd so you can join the Community of Whati for the Spring Carnival! Everyone’s welcome to enjoy traditional games, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice fishing (depending on ice conditions) and a community dance.
