Night Fishing Trip

Join us for an evening of fishing after dark!

You will be the one catching all the fish on an ice fishing rod and having all the fun. We provide you with a licensed fishing guide, heated transportation (in our 6 seater side by side),  cozy tent and all the fishing equipment you may need! In this package we will have everything set up on a local Yellowknife Lake after the sun sets. You will target Burbot on this excursion.

Our trips are perfect for anglers with all levels of experience. If you have never fished before we will teach you all the tips and tricks you’ll need to catch fish. All of our guides are local Yellowknife residents who have years of fishing experience!

Full day Ice Fishing Trip

8 hours from 8AM-4PM for a private Yellowknife ice fishing experience! You will be the one catching all the fish on an ice fishing rod and having all the fun. We provide you with a licensed fishing guide, heated transportation (in our 6 seater side by side),  cozy tent and all the fishing equipment you may need! In this package we will have everything set up on a local Yellowknife Lake. You will target a variety of local species including but not limited to Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye, Burbot and/or White Fish.

Okpik Arctic Village Day Stay – Winter

We will pick you up in Inuvik and take you for a drive along the Inuvik-Aklavik ice road to the Okpik Arctic Village about 16 km north of town where you will spend the day with us to reconnect to nature. Together with your local guide you will learn how to build an igloo, check the trap line and enjoy a delicious tea while listening to stories in our tipi. You will also get to know our dogs and learn more about dog sledding and go for a 2 hour dog sled ride. While preparing a cultural meal for you, our Elders will explain to you how to use the ingredients from the land. You will learn about Arctic agriculture, food processing and more. At the end of the day we bring you back to town.

Experience the Northern Lights on the Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk Highway

Join us for a breathtaking tour along the stunning Mackenzie River, where we embark on an adventure to chase the mesmerizing northern lights. As we traverse the icy landscape, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife!

Tour Details:

  • Time: 9 PM to Midnight (or longer)
  • Duration: 4-5 hours

Add-On Experience: Extend your adventure with a full-day journey along the Dempster Highway to the Arctic Circle. As we drive this iconic route, we’ll continue our search for the northern lights and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. Enjoy the thrill of crossing two rivers and navigating the winter landscape via ice road.

Nature’s North Wildlife Gallery is much more than just a specimen gallery. You will take part in an artistic experience with many of the animals who call the Northwest Territories home – over 60 species of birds and mammals! Our tours are led by guides with extensive knowledge and experience of the fauna of the Northwest Territories who can provide a personalized experience and answer any questions the guests might have.

Guided Tours include a detailed walkthrough of the gallery with one of our guides, as well as a visit to the taxidermy workshop for an in-depth explanation of the taxidermy process and an opportunity to touch and handle a variety of the furs featured in the gallery.
